One of the most beautiful news of this spring is the launch of Maserati’s new gem: the MC20 Cielo, a convertible version of the MC20 coupé!.
The signature of the new MC20 Cielo is in fact the particular retractable and electrochromic roof which, thanks to PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) technology, transforms from transparent to opaque! The double roof version results in three completely different driving experiences: focused with the closed and opaque roof, bright with the transparent roof and global with the open roof!
The engine of the new MC20 Cielo is a 3.0 V6 Nettuno twin-turbo engine with a power of 630 HP with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This combined with a 0-100 km/h sprint of 3 seconds, 0-200 km/h of 9.2 seconds and a top speed exceeding 320 km/h, places it in the most exclusive range of cars with mid-rear engine.
Dimensions are 4.67m long, 1.97m wide (without mirrors) and 1.22m high with the ability to raise the vehicle 50mm at low speed to tackle small bumps and unevenness.
The doors, on the other hand, slide outwards as a perfect continuation of the elegant lines of the carbon frame, making the new MC20 Cielo a jewel of technique and design!
The great signature of the new Maserati MC20 Cielo is the new unique metallic tri-layer color called "Aquamarine": an iridescent color inspired by the shades of the ocean and the iridescent sparkle of the sky and the sea. This is the new distinctive color but the available color palette still ranges between Incognito Gray, Bold White, Genius Yellow, Winning Red, Infinite Blue and Mystery Gray!
The interiors maintain all the luxury, refinement and functionality of MC20 covered ones with inserts in carbon, leather and Alcantara that complete the elegant, technological and refined style.
The hi-tech equipment in fact rests on the 10.25 "display of the instrumentation and on the infotainment one based on Android Automotive and on 12 loudspeakers of the High Premium Sonus Faber audio system. The central tunnel, on the other hand, houses the controls to manage the gearbox and the five driving modes: Wet, GT, Sport, Corsa and ESC OFF, which allow this car to offer always different and performing driving experiences.
