There is no doubt that the best car manufacturers in the luxury segment that produce the most desired super cars in the world have officially entered the SUV segment for some years now, ready to battle and address a new target, with an eye to the future.

In fact, Lamborghini and Ferrari enrich their portfolios and both position themselves on the market with two SUVs to be discovered; Lamborghini Urus Performante or Ferrari Purosangue? Today we compare the two SUVs! 

Although at first glance the two projects may seem very similar due to their great performance and a shape that inevitably categorizes them as an SUVs, they are actually characterized by different characteristics and goals.

 The engine: Lamborghini Urus Performante or Ferrari Purosangue 

The Urus Performante has its power center in its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, with 666 HP and 850 Nm. The Ferrari Purosangue has instead chosen a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 capable of delivering 725 HP and 716 Nm. Both they feature a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds; however, it should be emphasized that the Ferrari reaches a time of 10.6 s on the 0-200 km/h speed, while the Lamborghini stays at 11.5 s. Even on the maximum speed Purosangue beats Urus with 310 km/h to 306 km/h. 

The design: Lamborghini Urus Performante or Ferrari Purosangue 

Both the Ferrari Purosangue and the Lamborghini Urus are characterized by an attractive design that is perfectly in line with the style of their respective brands. Urus Performante is in fact sporty, slender but with sculpted and aggressive lines, carefully studied to increase its performance. Purosangue, on the other hand, is characterized by a sinuous, continuous and decisive line, with the final effect of an extraordinary raised sedan.

It should also be emphasized that the choice adopted for the opening of the doors widely differentiates the two projects. The opening is in fact conventional in the Urus, while Purosangue doors open backwards.

Speaking of design, it is impossible not to simply mention the dimensions. Purosangue measures 4.97 meters in length against the 5.14 meters of Urus. Virtually identical in width, they differ in overall height with the Ferrari being 1.59 meters and the Lamborghini 1.64 meters. 

The interior: Lamborghini Urus or Ferrari Performante 

The interiors of these two wonderful super cars certainly cannot be overlooked.

The interior of Urus Performante is characterized by light and innovative materials such as Alcantara and carbon fiber with dark tones, contrasting stitching and the exclusive Performante logo to underline the sporty character as if to make the driver a true pilot.

The interiors of the Ferrari Purosangue, although wanting to maintain a sporty character, are instead more conceived as an elegant living room characterized by a sophisticated, refined and contemporary luxury through a soft line and excellent materials. A feature that also certainly distinguishes the Purosangue is the absence of the central display. Maranello therefore rejects a more traditional design and adopts a more particular symmetrical layout between driver and passenger by choosing to install two large separate screens.

 The driver's seat and dashboard of the Lamborghini Urus Performante, on the other hand, have a more traditional and more geometric look with a large digital instrument panel behind the steering wheel and two displays in the center of the dashboard. 

The last difference, certainly not in order of importance, is the capacity in terms of passengers and luggage. In fact, the Ferrari Purosangue can accommodate four people and a 473-litre boot while the Lamborghini Urus Performante has five seats and a 616-litre boot. 

The pricing, on the other hand, deserves a separate chapter and mention. Lamborghini Urus Performante starts at 215,000 euros while the Ferrari Purosangue starts at 390,000 euros.
